Blockbuster Video - Liquidation Sale - 30% off and more

As you may have heard Blockbuster Video stores across Canada are closing June 18.  BBV has been pushed into receivership and is closing approximately 140 of their stores (roughly 1/3 of all locations).

Sales started today (May 27) and continue until the stores close on June 18.  The word on the interweb is that discounts are starting at 30% and will grow to 50% next week and finally 70% off in the final days.

Virtually all stock at the closing stores is being liquidated.  This includes:
  • New & used DVDs
  • New & used Blu-Rays
  • New & used video games (Xbox 360, PS3 & Wii)
  • Video game consoles & accessories
  • Merchandise (toys, stuffed animals, etc)
  • Accessories (headphones, DVD cleaners, Blu-Ray players, etc)
  • Snacks and drinks

So head over to your local closing Blockbuster Video store and add to your movie collection.  Cash, credit and debit only; gift cards are not accepted!

And don't forget to be nice to the staff at these stores!

Starbucks: Free "Starbucks Petite" Treat on March 10-12

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Starbucks will be offering their new Starbucks Petites treats with the purchase of any handcrafted beverage.

Part of their Starbucks "Tribute Days" promotion, the treats are being given away free from between 2 and 5 PM on March 10, 11 and 12th 2011.

Each Starbucks Petite is less than 200 calories and there are 8 different kinds.  They make for a well-deserved afternoon reward.
